At Home MBA in a Book

At Home MBA in a Book

Here is a book with all the details of an MBA which can be read from the comfort of your own home.

“MBA in a Book” is one of many business books which try to box up the MBA education experience into one simple package which can be delivered to your doorstep. Everyone in the business world has their own opinions about how helpful an actual MBA degree is in the long run and the short term. Of course, the value of such degree is relative for every industry and every individual. I don’t think anyone has the gall to put “Read MBA in a Book” in the education section of their resume, but this doesn’t mean there isn’t value in taking the time read the book if you are looking to get ahead in your company.

The author of “MBA in a Book” is Joel Kurtzmann who has an impressive resume when it comes to writing including the New York Times and the Harvard Business Review. That last credential alone puts him in the big time when it comes to business writing. Contributors to content include The Harvard Business School dean, the founder of 3Com and more. The book covers everything from accounting to strategy which anyone who has perused an MBA class lineup will know those topics are straight from the course catalog. The best part in my eyes about the book is that it is kind of fun to read which isn’t always true of sitting through a two hour econ class after a long day at work which is what many professionals must do when pursuing their MBA.

If you want some more info on being a better businessman or woman than you can’t go wrong with “MBA in a Book”, but it isn’t a replacement for the real thing mostly because you don’t get a degree at the end.
